A Wigan For Women

Together, Let’s Shape a Perfect Wigan for Women

Welcome to A Wigan for Women, a community-focused project dedicated to gathering and amplifying the voices of women across Wigan. We believe that the best way to create a safer, more inclusive, and supportive town is by listening to the women who live and work here. Together, we will identify key areas for improvement, work with local leaders, and ensure that different woman in Wigan feel heard and valued.

Whether you’re a mother, a student, a professional, or a community leader, your voice is important. This project will help shape the future of Wigan for women across all ages and backgrounds. By sharing your ideas, stories, and concerns, you can contribute to building a better Wigan for women, now and in the future.

Project Overview

At its heart, this project is about engaging women in meaningful conversations to create a vision for a more woman-friendly Wigan. Through interviews, podcasts, community events, and a final report, we will capture the real-life experiences and aspirations of women across the community. The results of our work will be presented to local decision-makers such as Wigan Council, and hopefully showcased at a International Women’s Day event in March 2025.
